On September 25, 2012, as a group of eight Keller, Texas moms, we gathered after the kids were in bed around a kitchen table. We came with our ideas, our passions, our emotions, and our prayers. We decided that we could no longer tolerate the lies that were being perpetuated by the mainstream media. So many of our fellow Americans are being deceived, or are being fed half-truths.
This was shortly after the incident in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, when our Ambassador and others were degraded and assassinated. Their families were grieving, their deaths were preventable, and our President looked the other way. His administration was blaming others for their failed policies and for the devastating results of their decision to ignore the threats that had been unleashed and the pleas from the embassy in Libya for more protection. And the media was right there with them.
We have had enough with the lies, and we decided to do something about it. We came up with the acronym SWARM: Smart Women Against the Rampant Media. We found a definition for "rampant" that described the media perfectly: 1. violent in action or spirit; raging; furious: 2. in full sway; prevailing or unchecked.
We are Women for Truth. We are seeking it and seeking to share it. We will no longer sit idly and silently by while our country is taken down an unknown and frightening path. Our children mean too much to us. Their safety and futures are too precious. Join us!
